O'Sullivan Clan Gathering in Ireland Breaks World Record
Guinness World Records verified 1,848 participants after the clan drew namesakes from Ireland and abroad to reclaim the top spot from the Gallaghers.

Organizers launched weeks of social media campaigning urging Sullivans and O'Sullivans worldwide to surpass the 1,488 Gallaghers who set the previous record in Letterkenny, County Donegal, in 2007.
Participants traveled from as far as Mexico and Boston to join the event, with officials verifying attendees via passport checks and counting them in groups of fifty on a school's football pitch.
