(Kingston, Ontario) A Mallorytown resident has been charged with criminal negligence causing death more than four months after a 41-year-old from Ottawa died following a boating incident on the St. Lawrence River between Gananoque and Mallorytown.

Ontario Provincial Police have charged a Mallorytown, Ont., man with criminal negligence causing death after a boat capsized on the St. Lawrence River in April, leaving an Ottawa man dead.

On April 25, Ontario Provincial Police were alerted to a capsized boat on the St. Lawrence River, north of Grenadier Island in Leeds and Thousand Islands Township.
