Despite the commitment, hundreds of Afghans are still waiting for their admission. Numerous celebrities – including Hape Kerkeling and Herta Müller – are now addressing the Federal Government.
In an open letter, the Federal Government has asked more than 50 celebrities to bring all people from Afghanistan to Germany who have already received an admission permit.
