Voting Rights Act teach-in set for Thursday in Valley City, ND
Volunteers with the League of Women Voters will host an an early-evening “teach-in” presentation to provide answers on whether people still have voting-rights protections that were established in the landmark Voting Rights Act of 1965. The teach-in presentation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 6, the anniversary when the Voting Rights Act was signed into law by President Lyndon B. Johnson.
