OnlyFans creator pleads guilty in bondage suffocation death of Escondido man
Prosecutors said videos showed Michael Dale bound with a plastic bag and duct tape as Michaela Rylaarsdam recorded the encounter for OnlyFans.
On Wednesday, OnlyFans creator Michaela Rylaarsdam pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the 2023 death of 55-year-old Michael Dale at his Escondido home.
Prosecutors allege Dale died from oxygen deprivation after Rylaarsdam bound his wrists and placed duct tape, a plastic bag, and Saran Wrap over his head during a recorded sexual encounter.
Defense attorney Dan Cohen argued the act was consensual, noting the client paid $11,000 for the session, while Rylaarsdam called 911 immediately upon realizing the situation was critical.
Rylaarsdam is slated to be sentenced next month to four years in state prison, having operated a secret OnlyFans career under the name Ashley SinCal with her husband Brandon managing the platform.
The mother of three had worked in the sex industry for 10 years, during which Rylaarsdam boasted of her professional "intoxicating and provocative performance" and acrobatics on her site.
Michael Dale paid 9,3 thousand euros to have fetishist session with Onlyfans model. He died asphyxiated with a plastic bag on his head and wrapped with sticky film. Model accepted agreement.
