Two rescued in Rome structure fire

Two people were rescued from a structure fire on Scott Avenue in Rome, according to the Rome Fire Department.

One rescued from Rome apartment building fire

The alarm was raised at 12:17 p.m. for a fire at 313 Scott Ave., an alley that runs between West Court and West Thomas streets. Public Safety Commissioner Kenneth White said the fire department responded and quickly knocked down the flames inside the four-unit apartment building.
