- The independent body reported Dhesi had three confirmed whereabouts failures during a 12-month period, which requires athletes to submit accurate information for out-of-competition testing.
- Following a provisional suspension, arbitrator Carol Roberts confirmed the violation on June 9, imposing a ban that extends through March 30, 2028.
- Under the sanction, Dhesi is ineligible to participate in any capacity with signatories to the Canadian Anti-Doping Program or the World Anti-Doping Code, including training with teammates.
- A 2022 Commonwealth Games champion, Dhesi represented Canada at the last two Olympics, finishing 13th in the 125-kilogram event in Tokyo and ninth in Paris.
