Unofficial returns indicate longtime Tulsa County educator Robert Franklin won the GOP runoff for state superintendent. Republicans nominated Bob Sullivan for insurance commissioner and Kevin West for labor commissioner.

Franklin Moves to General Election for State Superintendent

Republican voters chose Robert Franklin over James Taylor for the nomination in the State Superintendent of Public Instruction race. Franklin won 54.63% of the vote. Taylor took 45.37%. Franklin and Democrat Jennettie Marshall, the former Tulsa School Board member, will face off in November.
