Deer Smashes Into Customer, Crashes Through Window at North Carolina Laundromat
Security footage showed the deer hit a woman who had just left the business, and the laundromat’s window was repaired within hours.
- A deer crashed through a front window at The Wishy Washy Laundry on South Main Street in Winston-Salem two days ago, striking a woman outside before climbing onto laundry machines inside.
- Security footage from the shop captured the chaos, shocking owner Corey Pendergrass, who viewed the recording after the incident and remarked, "You don't expect this to happen."
- Although the deer struck a woman outside, she drove away shortly after the collision. Pfaf's Glass repaired the broken window within hours of the incident.
- Pendergrass characterized the event as a "one in a million chance," expressing gratitude that no serious injuries occurred despite the property damage and unusual nature of the intrusion.
- Operations at the South Main Street business resumed after the disturbance. Pendergrass, who was not present during the incident, described the unexpected intrusion as "nonsense" while noting only one window required repair.
