On Tuesday afternoon, officers of the Gintaras Žagunis border guard of the Varėna border detachment of the State Border Service of the Republic of Lithuania (SSAT) stopped a VW Golf car on the Dieveniškės–Šalčininkai road, near the village of Širvių (Šalčininkai district), to check it. It was driven by a 30-year-old resident of Šalčininkai district.
