Nutanix adds more rooms to its agentic AI building
The update adds centralized controls, private inference and a partner services program as enterprises seek to run AI across existing hybrid environments.
- On Thursday, Nutanix launched Nutanix Enterprise AI 2.8 and previewed the upcoming Nutanix Kubernetes Platform 2.19, expanding its agentic AI infrastructure offerings.
- Addressing deployment roadblocks, the company's dual-native architecture enables AI on its Cloud Platform without requiring organizations to rebuild existing business systems, according to Nutanix EVP, Product Management Thomas Cornely.
- NAI 2.8 features speculative decoding to accelerate LLM inference token generation by up to 2.5x, along with Parameter-Efficient Fine-Tuning using Low-Rank Adaptation for customizing open LLMs.
- Streamlining container management, NKP 2.19 includes a built-in Applications Catalog for one-click deployment of validated AI and machine learning software across environments.
- Earlier this month, the company added an open-source Model Context Protocol server to its Cloud Platform; planned expansions include validated GPU integrations and a Verified Services program for partners.
