The three Austrian nuns who had fled their retirement homes to return to their convent last year will go to the Vatican to plead their case, according to the Guardian.
Three now-famous nuns who escaped from a nursing home and returned to their castle monastery near Salzburg, where they spent most of their lives, are one step closer to being allowed to stay there, sources close to them say.
Sister Rita (82), Sister Regina (86) and Sister Bernadette (88) ran away from the old home. Then the nuns broke into the convent where they have lived most of their long lives.
