In a news release issued Friday, RCMP said a youth was arrested earlier this week and charged with second-degree murder in the death of George Narkyagik, 45, in Baker Lake in April.

A youth under age 18 was arrested and charged with second-degree murder in Baker Lake on June 3, according to the RCMP. The charge is related to the April 2 death of George Narkyagik. The Nunavut RCMP Major Crime Unit has charged a youth with second-degree murder in connection to a man’s death in Baker Lake.
