Six people arrested after man abducted in Edinburgh
Police say six people were arrested after the abduction, and a man was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Six people were arrested following an alleged "targeted" abduction of a man in Edinburgh's Canonmills area on Thursday evening.
Police were alerted around 10:30pm on Thursday after receiving reports of the abduction; a 22-year-old man was later traced to Longniddry in East Lothian.
Five men aged 21, 21, 22, 23, and 45 were arrested along with a 40-year-old woman; videos showed armed officers making arrests on The A198 after stopping a vehicle.
The A198 remains closed between Coal Road and Cunningham Court as Enquiries continue, with Emergency crews managing diversions in the area.
Detective Inspector Robbie Wallace said "our enquiries are ongoing," urging Anyone with information to contact Police on 101, quoting incident 3944 of Thursday, August 13.
