Péter Magyar announced wage increases in several areas. However, not everyone is satisfied with the amount, including healthcare professionals.

The issue of the minimum wage may be made particularly acute by Prime Minister Péter Magyar's speech on Monday.
Everyone was anxiously waiting to see what wage increases Péter Magyar would announce when he presented the budget for 2027. The percentages were lower than expected and promised, but there was also the reduction in personal income tax from 15 to 9 percent.
According to Péter Magyar's announcement, the personal income tax payable up to the minimum wage will be reduced from 15 to 9 percent from January 1, 2027. Based on today's minimum wage, this means an extra 19,368 forints per month, and not only for minimum wage earners.
