Team Searching for Noah’s Ark Builds 3D Model of Turkish Mound
Researchers used radar data to build a scale model and began drilling more than 60 feet below the site to test for wood.
- On Monday, the Ark Scans team unveiled a 3D scale model of the Durupınar formation in Turkey, claiming the 157-meter structure "perfectly matches the biblical description of Noah's Ark found in Genesis 6."
- Researchers began drilling last month at the Durupınar formation, a boat-shaped mound located 29 kilometers south of Mount Ararat, to extract samples for testing.
- The team enlisted FieldTech to create the model using ground-penetrating radar Data, with phase one of their investigation including drilling more than 60 ft beneath the site.
- Lauren Witzke, director of marketing and fundraising, claimed the findings could disprove Darwinism and force University curriculums to be rewritten.
- While many geologists maintain the formation is "a completely natural rock formation," Andrew Jones of the Ark Research Project said the team will test samples this winter for man-made activity.

Threats, a Break-In and New Findings Deepen the Noah's Ark Mystery - Charisma Magazine Online
Andrew Jones described threats at his apartment door and a later break-in while sharing another startling development: drilling beneath a suspected Noah’s Ark site encountered soil where competing explanations predicted solid rock. In a recent interview with Charisma Media, the Noah’s Ark Scans researcher recounted people banging on his door around 1 a.m. “Open the […]
Noah’s Ark mystery: 3D-printed model of 157-metre Turkey formation created using radar data after researchers drill over 60 feet underground; geologists say it may be natural
Researchers investigating Turkey’s boat-shaped Durupınar formation, believed by some to be Noah’s Ark, have created a 3D-printed model using ground-penetrating radar data. The team has completed its first investigation phase, drilling more than 60 feet underground and collecting samples for laboratory testing. However, many geologists maintain that the formation is a natural geological feature.
