At a first reading, the news of division in the populist right-wing party Law and Justice seems good for the Europeanists of Prime Minister Donald Tusk. Everything can change, however, if the new, much more radical, rights unite: for Poland, for Ukraine, and for many of the laws that the EU wants to adopt in the coming times.
Jarosław Kaczyński, Karol Nawrocki, Przemysław Czarnek, Sławomir Mentzen, or perhaps someone else? Participants in a United Surveys poll commissioned by Wirtualna Polska were asked who they considered the leader of the Polish right wing.
The poll asked Poles who they consider to be the leader of the right wing today. PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński is no longer in the lead.
According to one in three respondents, the Polish right wing currently lacks a leader, according to a new United Surveys poll. 20.4% of respondents chose President Karol Nawrocki, followed closely by PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński. Mateusz Morawiecki came in third.
