Nintendo Just Unveiled New Switch 2 Bundles Starting at $530, You Better Score One Now Before the Price Hike
The bundles add digital game codes and 3-month Nintendo Switch Online memberships, with savings that depend on the Sept. 1 price increase.
Nintendo has officially unveiled two new Switch 2 bundles featuring Mario Kart World and Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, arriving ahead of the console's $50 price increase on September 1.
The price adjustments follow Nintendo's earlier confirmation of a $50 hike to $499.99 on September 1, which the company blamed on "market conditions" and the "global business outlook."
While the new bundles offer savings after the price increase, the Mario Kart World bundle costs $550 and the Nintendo Switch Sports Resort bundle is $530; purchasing items separately now remains cheaper.
Consumers can expect the Mario Kart World bundle in "late September," while the Nintendo Switch Sports Resort bundle launches October 22, the same day the game releases.
Hardware manufacturers like PlayStation, Xbox, and Valve have also raised prices over the past year, citing rising shipping costs and ballooning component prices as driving factors.
