Next NOAA weather satellite launching just in time

NOAA is preparing to launch the Joint Polar Satellite System-2 on Nov. 1. The satellite, built and integrated by Northrop Grumman, will travel to low-Earth orbit. The JPSS-2 satellite will gather observations in tandem with NOAA-20. NOAA-21 will circle the globe every 90 minutes.
