Doug Garrett, vice president of the Quarry Springs Park and Recreation Board in Colfax, spoke to the Newton Noon Kiwanis Club Sept. 20 about plans for the 480-acre park. The park offers fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, biking, camping, canoeing, cross country skiing and osprey-watching.
