Disney leaders unveiled ambitious plans for new lands and attractions across Walt Disney World at the D23 Fan Convention held August 14-16 in Anaheim, California. Updates span Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and EPCOT.
Hollywood Studios will debut the Monstropolis land in 2027, centered on a celebration called "Humans Understanding Monsters Are Nice," while Magic Kingdom introduces Piston Peak National Park with a 223-square-mile scale model.
In Animal Kingdom, the Tropical Americas land will feature an Indiana Jones ride and Antonio's Fiesta de Encanto, while the 25-foot Yeti animatronic inside Expedition Everest will be fixed. EPCOT's Spaceship Earth undergoes its first major reimagining in 20 years.
The Journey Into Imagination with Figment attraction at EPCOT will see the return of Dreamfinder, while new attractions like Miss Fritter's Daredevil Spin-Along will feature vehicles designed to respond to terrain in real-time.
Disney announced that actors Jamie Lee Curtis and Bryan Cranston will voice new versions of Sarah and John in Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress, reflecting broader efforts to refresh classic experiences across the resort.
