A simple vaginal swab may one day help women with abnormal bleeding learn whether they have endometrial cancer without first going through a painful biopsy.
PinkDx, an American company, has developed a vaginal swab technology for detecting endometrial cancer. This technology analyzes DNA and RNA fragments to look for cancer signals, potentially reducing the need for invasive biopsies on women. Large-scale clinical trials are underway, with a launch expected as early as mid-2027.
