On June 9, 2026, the Council of Ministers adopted the proposal for the minimum wage (known as the national minimum wage or lowest wage) and the minimum hourly rate for 2027, submitted by the Minister of Family, Labor and Social Policy. The government will determine the final amount of these minimum wages for next year in a regulation, which must be issued by September 15.
From January 1, 2027, the minimum wage will be PLN 4,950 gross, an increase of PLN 144 (a 3% increase). This figure determines the minimum social security contribution (ZUS) and the minimum health insurance contribution. It's already known that these will increase. We also explain the amount of the large social security contribution (ZUS) in 2027.
The most likely minimum wage increase is now known. According to unofficial reports, the government has reached a compromise aimed at reconciling employee expectations with a cautious approach to public spending.
