Marc Dos Santos, LAFC's longtime assistant, was promoted to head coach for 2026 to continue the club's attacking style and strong player support, officials said.
- On Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, 48-year-old Marc Dos Santos was formally introduced as Los Angeles Football Club's third head coach at BMO Stadium and was led onto the field to meet supporters.
- After a wide search with more than 100 inquiries, LAFC chose Marc Dos Santos due to near-unanimous player backing and his alignment with the executive committee's attacking vision.
- A longtime assistant, Marc Dos Santos helped LAFC win the 2022 MLS Cup, 2022 Supporters' Shield and 2024 U.S. Open Cup, and managed the Vancouver Whitecaps for 2½ seasons with mixed results amid COVID disruptions.
- Dos Santos plans changes to his staff, with assistant Ante Razov unlikely to remain, while LAFC keeps the roster that compiled 36 wins over the last two seasons, including Son Heung-min and Denis Bouanga.
- Dos Santos says his first on-field tests come in mid-February with CONCACAF Champions Cup play in Honduras, followed by an MLS opener at the LA Memorial Coliseum hosting Lionel Messi and Inter Miami CF.
