Troopers Fortin and Peterson of Troop E were traveling along Route 25 in Meredith over the weekend when they came across the bird, which had been struck by a vehicle. The troopers helped care for the owl and transported it to Caves in Concord after speaking with wildlife experts at Wings Wildlife Rehab in Henniker.
