New fire station opens in Matoaca area of Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A new Fire Station 8 has opened in the Matoaca area of Chesterfield County this month, and firefighters there have already began running calls. According to Chesterfield Fire & EMS, eight firefighters will be at the new station for each shift at the station, which houses an engine, a ladder truck, a medic unit and a brush truck.
