Helmetless teen killed in e-bike crash in Chino Hills
A 14-year-old boy has died days after an electric bicycle accident in Chino Hills. At just before 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department received word that two boys were involved in a bicycle accident at Rock Springs Drive and Oakland Way, the department said in a news release. E-bikes have been banned on the sand in Neptune Beach since 2020, but that may change. Under a proposal from Police Chief Michael Key, e-bikes would be allowed as long as they’re operated safely and stay under 15 mph.
