Although workers have to wait until they are 60 years of age or 25 years of service in the company where they work to enter a pension and retire; however, the State Workers' Social Security and Services Institute (ISSSTE) also has the Early Pension.
The provision, published in the Diario Oficial de la Federación, is already valid and applies only to persons registered with the ISSSTE
The bill, signed by President Claudia Sheinbaum and published on June 24, 2025 in the Diario Oficial de la Federación (DOF), benefits more than 3.2 million public employees, including teachers, health personnel and workers from organizations such as CFE and Correos de México.
