Brabus’s New Convertible G-Wagen Can Churn Out Nearly 900 HP
The limited-run convertible adds a 4.5-liter bi-turbo V8 with 900 metric horsepower and 1,250 Nm of torque, Brabus says.
- Brabus recently premiered the new Brabus 900 Rocket Edition Cabrio, a limited convertible based on the W465 Mercedes-AMG, with only ten units scheduled for production.
- To ensure structural rigidity, the tuner developed a rag top system for the G-Wagen incorporating "more than 500 newly developed components" while preserving the vehicle's distinctive presence.
- Its 4.5-liter bi-turbo V8 engine produces 900 metric horsepower at 6,200 rpm with 922 pound-feet of torque, delivering substantial performance in a heavy convertible platform.
- Inside the cabin, the Rocket Edition Cabrio features black leather and Alcantara upholstery with a Brabus "shell" pattern, accented by Rocket Red components on switches and air vents.
- While pricing remains undisclosed, the standard 2027 Mercedes-AMG carries an MSRP of $198,750, suggesting the exclusive ten-unit run commands a significant premium over the base model.
