More than thirty earthquakes have occurred on the Reykjanes Ridge since noon, about half of which are between 2 and 3 in magnitude. Steinunn Helgadóttir, a natural hazard specialist at the Icelandic Meteorological Office, says that earthquake swarms are very common in this area. Map / Google
