NDP quarterly fundraising dips but individual donors are giving more
The federal NDP's total fundraising decreased in the second quarter, but the average donation amount rose to about $81 from nearly 15,000 donors.
Between April and June, the NDP raised roughly $1.2 million, while the previous quarter brought in $1.67 million with more than 28,000 donors contributing.
During the first quarter, the average donation was about $59, and fundraising included the final months of the leadership contest.
The party's financial state is stable but tight, with quarterly election campaign debt payments over $1 million, and Leader Avi Lewis receiving a salary that reflects the party's financial situation and caucus size.
