Speaking about increased defence financing, President Nathan Nausėda says he is in favour of additional taxation of profits, but stresses that he is "categorically against" the introduction of value added tax (VAT). "If we are talking about one-off things, such as the adoption of the German brigade, we really can make a difference with the lending instrument," the head of state told journalists in Brussels.
