National Champions are Honoured at the Closing Ceremony of the Skills Canada National Competition 2026, in Toronto
More than 500 students and apprentices competed in over 40 skill areas, and RBC Future Launch awarded $1,500 regional prizes.
On Saturday, May 30, 2026, Skills/Compétences Canada concluded the Skills Canada National Competition 2026 at the Enercare Centre in Toronto, recognizing medalists across six trade and technology sectors.
Over the past week, more than 500 students and apprentices competed for national champion titles in more than 40 skill areas, evaluated against strict industry standards for young skilled talent.
RBC Future Launch awarded a $1,500 RBC Best of Region Award to competitors with the highest scores from each province and territory, recognizing leaders advancing in the skilled trades industry.
Thousands of student visitors, industry leaders, and government officials attended onsite activities including the Skills Showcase and more than 50 Try-A-Trade and Technology sessions promoting rewarding career paths.
SCNC 2027 will be held in Calgary, Alberta, at the BMO Centre at Stampede Park, continuing the organization's mission to engage Canadian youth in skilled trades and technologies.
