Mauritian author, born in 1973, has already won the Femina Prize at the beginning of November for her thirteenth book, "The Night in the Heart".
After winning the Femina Prize at the beginning of the month, the author made the double this Thursday 27 November. Her book seduced a jury composed of 13 high school students.
The Goncourt Prize for high school students, the second best-selling literary prize in France, was awarded this Thursday to Nathacha Appanah for her novel "La nuit au coeur". She had already won the Femina 2025 prize for the same work.
This novel links the fate of three women caught in the spiral of male violence, including Chahinez Daoud, mother of three young children, burned alive by her husband whom she had left in 2021.
