Maribor's players played a late match in the 27th round of the Telemach First League in Lendava and only drew with Nafta, who occupy the penultimate place. Maribor led most of the match after Soudani's goal, but the final 1:1 was tied in the 90th minute by former Maribor member Aleks Pihler.

Nafta 1903 and Maribor are currently playing in the postponed match of the 27th round of the First League. The Purples are looking to close the gap to the leaders Olimpija.
