Breaking news... Journalist Murat Ağırel, who was under house arrest for reporting on the fund investigation, was taken into custody this morning. Along with Ağırel, politicians Aylin Kotil and Ömer Sarıgül were also detained. It was also stated that an arrest warrant has been issued for Emir Sarıgül. A statement was also taken from Ağırel, who is currently in custody.
Aylin Kotil, the ex-wife of Yeni Party Erzincan MP Mustafa Sarıgül, her son Ömer Sarıgül, and our newspaper's columnist Murat Ağırel have been detained. An arrest warrant has also been issued for his other son, Emir Sarıgül. Sarıgül has issued his first statement following these events.
