Muscle dysmorphia symptoms linked with sexual difficulties among boys and young men
Boys and young men who report greater symptoms of muscle dysmorphia may also be more likely to experience a range of sexual difficulties, according to a new study examining the intersection of body image and sexual health.
Young men who fret about not being muscular enough are more likely to struggle in bed: a study of 1,116 sexually active guys aged 15–35 in the US and Canada found muscle dysmorphia symptoms were linked to 7 of 8 sexual problems, with body image worries closely tied to feeling anxious during sex.
