MPD: Woman leaves child behind after crashing car

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - - Police say a mother walked away from a one-vehicle crash in South Memphis and left behind a young child. Officers said the driver of a blue Dodge Caliber was nowhere in sight when they arrived at Dunne Avenue and Castalia Street late Sunday night. They said the driver had hit a guard rail, and her son was still sitting inside the vehicle. Police have not released the age of the child but said he did not appear to be hurt. Kasi…
