- Renewing their duel from 12 months ago at Misano, Bezzecchi and Marquez dominated the dry Friday running following Thursday's heavy rain, with both riders frequently trading the top spot throughout the hour-long session.
- The Marquez brothers secured second and third on the timesheets, while VR46 Ducati riders Fabio Di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli completed the top five, keeping four Ducatis near the front.
- Championship leader Jorge Martin narrowly secured a direct Q2 promotion in 10th place, while former Misano winner Pecco Bagnaia finished 19th on his factory Ducati.
