Mosquito pool tests positive for West Nile virus in Brantford
“This is the first confirmed positive mosquito pool for West Nile virus this season,” said Filip Pajtondziev, manager of infectious diseases and sexual health. “The warm and wet weather conditions this summer have created an ideal environment for mosquito breeding. Brantford has recorded its first confirmed case of West Nile virus this year after mosquitoes collected in a residential area tested positive.
