Obesity is associated with an increased risk of developing certain types of cancer and, once the diagnosis has been made, excess weight can influence different aspects of the disease's evolution and the tolerance to treatments. In relation to tumor location, the higher proportions of patients with obesity were observed in breast, colon, endometrial, ovarian and kidney cancer, with figures above 20%.
