Mosquitoes in West Monroe and Palermo test positive for EEE virus
Oswego, N.Y. — Two mosquito samples tested positive for the Eastern equine encephalitis virus (EEE) in West Monroe and Palermo in Oswego County, health officials said.The Oswego County Health Department was notified by the state health department on Tuesday of the positive results. One sample was collected Aug. 12 in Palermo, and the other was collected Aug. 14 in West Monroe.
