Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar stated that they evaluated the latest situation at the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant with Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev, and announced that with the commissioning of new plants in Sinop and Thrace, as well as small modular reactors, they aim to increase Turkey's nuclear energy capacity to 20,000 megawatts by 2050.
