Millions in flood control grants coming to south King County
The grants will fund 39 projects countywide, including $1.7 million for District 5 work in south King County.

- Auburn receives $300,000 for the Auburn 400 Flood Mitigation Ponds and 15th Street SE Culvert project, while $200,000 supports Des Moines Creek Estuary Restoration Final Design and $1.7 million funds District 5.
- The program targets medium and small local flood reduction projects; "Flooding isn't only about major river events," said King County Councilmember and Flood Control District Supervisor Steffanie Fain.
