This is the first time that illegal newspaper sharing has come to trial in Portugal. The defendants, one of them Air Force military, shared online publications in groups with thousands of members.
Two men will answer in court for the creation of groups on Telegram dedicated to the illegal sharing of the press.
Even Members of Parliament have already become involved in the piracy of news, but there are no known cases of trial, although one of them has had to pay not to sit on the bench of the defendants.
