Not only were two military airbases and the largest gas field in the Netherlands targeted by unknown drones last November. In the same weekend, it appears that flights also took place over Princess Beatrix's home in Lage Vuursche and over the gold vault of De Nederlandsche Bank in Huis ter Heide.
An unidentified drone was seen flying over the Dutch gold vault and castle home of Princess Beatrix in November 2025, according to the Algemeen Dagblad (AD) newspaper.
Drones of unknown origin were spotted near the former residence of the Dutch Queen - The incident occurred last November, it is not known who could have been behind the operation.
Security guards at Princess Beatrix's residence, Drakensteyn Castle in the Utrecht village of Lage Vuursche, spotted drones near the grounds last November. The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee also saw unmanned aircraft near a gold vault at De Nederlandsche Bank in Huis ter Heide, a few kilometers away. A spokesperson for the Marechaussee confirmed this following a report by the AD.
