Miguel Rojas Retires After Dodgers’ NLCS Exit, with Plans to Remain in Baseball - FINCHANNEL
- On Thursday, the Milwaukee Brewers completed a 4-0 National League Championship Series sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium, prompting 37-year-old infielder Miguel Rojas to announce his retirement from Major League Baseball.
- Rojas put together a 13-year career split between the Dodgers and Miami Marlins, returning to Los Angeles in 2023 to serve as a veteran leader during his second stint with the club.
- Standing by his locker after the loss, a teary-eyed Rojas told reporters, "Today was the last time that I wore the uniform as a player, and my cleats, and it's really hard to take them off right now."
- A key contributor to back-to-back championship seasons, Rojas saved the Dodgers' 2025 World Series with his Game 7 home run and earned three straight Roy Campanella Awards for his clubhouse leadership.
- With his playing career finished, Rojas has a player development role lined up with the Dodgers organization, hoping this transition serves as the first step toward eventually landing in a manager's seat.
