BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — A 78 year old man from Midfield died Monday evening following a single-vehicle crash on I-59 South near Arkadelphia Road, according to the Birmingham Police Department. The collision occurred at approximately 5:01 p.m. Monday, March 2. The driver was the sole occupant in the vehicle and was transported to UAB Hospital.
