Following the announcement of the cessation of production and the abolition of 320 posts at the Mertzwiller site (Bas-Rhin), BDR Thermea's employees decided a day of strike picketing to express their dissatisfaction.

BDR Thermea announced this Tuesday, May 20th a layoff plan on its Mertzwiller site where production must stop by the end of 2027. 370 jobs are threatened in France.

Specializing in heat pumps, whose market has returned over the last two years, the BDR Thermo plant in Mertzwiller will be shut down by mid-2027. The "reorganisation project" presented yesterday by the group should lead to the abolition of 370 posts in France, of which 320 in Alsace.
