Measure because there are five times more tourists than residents: popular attraction doubles entry fees

Tourists who want to visit the Galápagos Islands will have to pay twice as much entry fees as of August 1. The measure was taken because an increase in the number of visitors is putting pressure on the ecologically sensitive destination.
